Prof. Dr. Gite Venkat Arjunrao is an accomplished medical professional with an impressive educational background and extensive experience in the field of Urology and Medical Education. Armed with an impressive educational background including an M.B.B.S., M.S. in General Surgery,  DNB in Urology and MNAMS, he stands as a beacon of knowledge and expertise.

His teaching career spans over 26 years for undergraduate students and 23 years for postgraduate students. He has been associated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) as a UG and PG teacher and has guided numerous students pursuing M.Ch Urology. He has also served as an examiner for M.Ch and DNB examinations in various universities.

His dedication to education is evident through his role as a Course Director for Reconstructive Urology and Endo Urology fellowships. He has also taken to online platforms, delivering educational content on YouTube and is managing the “clinics for PG updates – urology an educational initiative” channel. Additionally, he has chaired and been a part of various prestigious posts selection committees, contributing significantly to the academic landscape.

His expertise and research have led to numerous publications, presentations, and awards. He has presented numerous papers and videos at national and zonal conferences. He is a prolific researcher as is evident through his 40 publications, journal proceedings, and two book chapters. His co-authorship of a chapter in a Springer book and contributions to the book  “Beginner’s Guide to Publishing” highlight his versatility.

His passion for Reconstructive Urology is evident in his achievements, such as performing the first cadaver renal transplant in J.J. Hospital, Mumbai, and the first Sigmoid Neovagina in the Government setup of Maharashtra.

His noble beliefs are evident through his proactive efforts in healthcare accessibility and the empowerment of emerging Urologists.

His awards, including the Int. Research Vibhushan Award, Jan seva sadbhavana award and Samaj Bhushan Award, underscore his exceptional service to the Medical Education and society.
