Day 1 (20/03/2025) : BLS Training Program for postgraduate students.
The Department of Anaesthesia at MPGIMER, Nashik, successfully conducted a Basic Life Support program for postgraduate students, aiming to strengthen their foundational skills in emergency resuscitation.
Hands-on training of PG students
We were honoured to have Dr. Gouri Diwan as the supervising faculty for the BLS and ACLS training program conducted at MPGIMER, Nashik. Her expert guidance, clinical insights and supportive mentorship greatly enhanced this learning experience for all the participants.
Day 2 (21/03/2025) : ACLS Training Program for postgraduate students.
Following the BLS session, the Department of Anaesthesia, MPGIMER, Nashik, conducted an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training program for postgraduate students.
The program emphasized on high quality resuscitation techniques, team dynamics and advanced algorithms for managing cardiac arrest and peri-arrest situations.
Lecture on Cardiac Arrest Recognition and Management by Dr. Jayashree Sali, Associate Professor, Department of Anaesthesia, MPGIMER, Nashik.
Team-based Case Simulations: Sharpening clinical decision-making in action.
The BLS and ACLS training programs conducted by the Department of Anaesthesia, MPGIMER, Nashik, were a resounding success.
The educational objectives were efficiently achieved, as reflected in the significant improvement observed through pre- and post-training assessments conducted for postgraduate students.
The structured teaching sessions, practical simulations and case-based discussions not only enhanced their theoretical knowledge but also boosted their clinical confidence in managing real-life emergencies.
- Updating knowledge with regular PG activities:
PG students representing seminars, journal club regularly and all faculties guiding them with recent updates.

DAY-1
22/07/2024 :- Inauguration & BLS activity for nursing students
Department of Anesthesiology, GMC, MPGIMER, MUHS, Nashik celebrated National CPR week in memory of former president of India- Dr A P J Abdul Kalam.
The event was graced by respected Dean- Dr Venkat Gite ,Head of the departments of the institute and faculties.
Professor and Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology- Dr Sunita Sankalecha addressed the attendees about the importance of learning High quality CPR for effective resuscitation and about saving lives. Respected Dean sir Dr Venkat Gite emphasised that CPR workshops be conducted for lay persons, students and healthcare workers.
Dr Jayashree Sali proposed vote of thanks at the end of the event.
The event was followed by hands on training of CPR for nursing students which was very successful. Approximately 150 nursing students attended the training.
Dr Kashinath Jadhav , Dr Savani Futane , Dr Sachin Pawar Dr Sneha and Dr Priya and residents of Anaesthesiology department contributed majorly for the success of the event .
DAY-2
On 23/07/24, Department of Anesthesiology conducted Rangoli competition regarding awareness of CPR for nursing students in OPD complex District Civil hospital, Nashik on the occasion of National CPR week in memory of former President of India- Dr A P J Abdul Kalam. The nursing students participated with enthusiasm and innovative ideas.
Exhibition of rangoli was kept for a day to create awareness among patients.
DAY-3
On 24/07/24, , Department of Anesthesiology conducted BLS activity in Dr M S Gosavi college of Pharmacy Education and Research , Nashik for students on the occasion of National CPR week in memory of former President of India- Dr A P J Abdul Kalam. Around 100 students attended the session and performed BLS on manikin. They were told about the importance and steps of high quality CPR.
This program was well-appreciated by members of Dr M S Gosavi college of Pharmacy Education and Research , Nashik.
DAY-4
On 25/07/24 , Department of Anesthesiology conducted Poster competition on awareness of CPR on the occasion of National CPR week in memory of former President of India- Dr A P J Abdul Kalam.
Very interesting posters were made by 22 participating residents to create awareness about high quality CPR.
Judges appreciated all the posters & three best posters received prizes.
DAY-5
On 26/07/24 , Department of Anesthesiology conducted COLS activity in OPD complex District Civil hospital, Nashik for lay persons on the occasion of National CPR week in memory of former President of India- Dr A P J Abdul Kalam. Around 60-70 people attended the session and performed COLS on manikin. This activity was well appreciated and recognized by the media.
