| Brief about the program (activity event details) | The program was graced by presence and felicitation of respected Dean Dr.Kiran Patole Sir, Dr.Suhas Patil Sir (Assistant Dean), Dr.Nilesh Ahire Sir (HOD Department of Paediatrics) and Dr.Bhuktar Sir (HOD Department of FMT). Dr.Priyanka Pandya inaugurated the program by highlighting the academic footprints of our guest speaker Dr.Ashutosh Sonawane. Dr.Ashutosh Sir began the session by clearing concepts regarding diagnostic criteria of Gestational and Overt Diabetes Mellitus. Sir gave scientific reports about target blood glucose, HbA1c and metabolic goals parameters. Sir gave evidence based insights regarding OGCT & OGTT screening and broke many misconceptions regarding DIPSI which was earlier considered gold standard screening test. Sir highlighted the importance of Four-Point BSL Screening and congenital anomlies associated with deranged blood sugar levels. Sir also covered obstetric complications of GDM/Overt DM associated with deranged HbA1c. The benchmark of the program was clear, concise and crisp Oral Hypoglycemic agents & Insulin Strategies to be followed during antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum period. The program concluded by Vote of Thanks presented by Dr.Prasannajeet Kokate Sir (HOD Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology) as a mark of gratitude towards our honourable guest speaker and National Anthem. |
