Department of Emergency Medicine of Maharashtra Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research is established in year 2022 under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Lt Gen. Dr Madhuri Kanitkar (Retd) PVSM, AVSM, VSM and Government of Maharashtra.

We have 2 Post Graduate seats in the Department of Emergency Medicine.

We take the pride of being the first medical college in Nashik to start Emergency Medicine.

Our hospital is the biggest District Hospital in North Maharashtra having 58 Primary Health Centres and Rural Health Centres and 6 Sub District Hospitals and Malegaon District Hospital working under us.

We have enormous workload and Post Graduate students will get exposed to all kind of emergency case mix.

Post Graduate students will be subjected to well-constructed, research based, immersive and interactive residency program. We have experienced faculty to guide and supervise this training program.

 Post Graduate students will be well exposed to various areas like Triage area, Emergency room and ICU. Hands on exposure to perform all procedures under guidance of faculty.
Hands on training for eFAST with a perfect case mix which includes trauma, all medicine, surgery, paediatrics, obstetrics and orthopaedic cases.

We conduct regular internal assessment examinations.

Case presentation, seminars, Journal club and integrated interdepartmental teaching will be covered in the afternoon.

We aim to increase the pool of competent & skilled emergency physicians so as to cater the healthcare & educational needs of India.
