The student should have knowledge of:

• Common Eye problems
• Management of ophthalmic emergencies
• Ophthalmic side effects of commonly used drugs
• Magnitude of blindness in India and its main causes;
• Blindness control programs and its implementation
• The eye bank.

2.Skills
The student should be able to:

• Diagnose and treat common eye problems
• Do visual acuity testing, examination of eye, tonometry, confrontation test, perimetry, direct ophthalmoscopy.
• Assist/observe therapeutic procedures
• To motivate people for eye donation.

3.Integration
An integrated approach towards other disciplines.
